If this has been covered in another post, please feel free to point me at it. I can't find it via search. That being said...

How the heck do you change stations via voice command? My BMW was simply "channel XX" and off it went. The LS gives me nothing but "pardon" or tries to dial what it thinks I said as a phone number.

What am I missing?

Is your language "set up" for English?....... See the owners manual and check ALL your settings.

I've been through the manual, but I could not find reference to changing the station/channel of the radio. I'll check to see what language it is setup for, I'm assuming English, it seems to recognize my requests to dial phonebook contacts and enter navigation addresses. Can anyone confirm the commands to change the station on satellite radio or tune to a different FM radio station? Maybe I'm saying the wrong thing...

Until 2016 all you can say is, "AM" or "FM" or "raise temperature". Once the radio comes on and switches to
the band you called for you must twirl the dial or press a preset. If you have a 2016 or newer you can press
the steering wheel "speech" button and say "tune 93.1 FM" or "tune Satellite channel Bluesville"

Well that would explain it then. That's super disappointing. My BMW and my wife's Chrysler minivan (2011 and 2012) both have the ability to tune via voice. Bit of a letdown for a flagship product to not have that ability.

I agree. It is a letdown on a flagship that the technology, especially with voice recognition, is behind the competitors. I intend to install an aftermarket product to connect to my Android to make the voice recognition go through my phone instead. but don't think this will work with the factory stereo. It would just be a bypass to access internet radio/apps.

My 2008 Dodge Charger has better "radio technology" than the LS......... Very sad!
A "Flagship" model of ANY car manufacturer should have the "Best of the Best" audio and GPS technology available.

System is very picky on voice. It can just figure out no matter what you say. My voice is bit husky sound. System never worked for me. I just manually do it.

I am attaching two pages from the owners manual from 2010 that state you can say a voice command to do what you are wanting. Hope they load. On pages 54 thru 60 in navigation owners manual

On my 2007, I can say Sat 1 and also say "Preset #" (1 through 6)... As each page only has 6 presets. Not as advanced as the 2016+ by any means but, if you know all your presets, it could make it easier when your driving.

EDIT: The preset didn't work, I know there is a command for it, I just forget

And I can say, set temp 68 degrees and it does change.

On My Lexus GS 350 2013 when i please Voice command I only get Voice Tag and all the other command for climate /Radio /Navigation is all missing.

Can someone what could be the problem.
