Always wanted to cruise around in one, trying to see if there are certain year models to avoid.

I wouldn't avoid any model year LS. The 2007 and some 2008 cars had a couple recalls, just check to see that they were done. Control arms may also need to be replaced.

A 2011 shouldn't have any issues. If it has air suspension, you will be spending money on that at some point.

I paid $26k for an AWD 2011 with 52k miles from a Lexus dealer in NJ a few weeks ago, just to give you an idea of price points.

Yeah you should be fine with a 2011. The 100K doesn't scare me, but personally I like to start at about half of that when I buy a used car. Good luck.

I might be selling my 2011 LS460L. Recently bought a 2017 LX. It has 94K miles. The car has Lexus CPO Platinum Extended Warranty (Unlimited Miles, zero deductible upto Feb 2023). Warranty is transferrable one time to new owner without any charge

Let us all know if you decide to sell it... I travel to FL a lot and might be interested.

New buyer here

purchased a 2008 460 LS. L. 135k miles

Bought the wheels before I picked the car up... Are these sport wheels?

minor issues... LOVE the car.

Missed owning a Lexus for years and had different BMW’s for the past 7 years. Mistake

I doubt I’ll go away from a Lexus anytime soon!

thanks

David

Your car is a twin of mine - right down to the wheels (which I have clad in snow tires for the Winter). I replace them with 20" staggered wheels and tires the rest of the year (as seen in my signature pic). Mine is a black 08 with 105k miles.

Also, your story is similar to mine.....I had a 7 series BMW before the LS and it's a sordid chapter in my life that no amount of therapy will ever remedy. Trading it in on the LS helped, but I'm still on a road to recovery.

Congrats on the new car David, and I wish you good luck with it.

There's a FAQ sticky at the top of this forum, lots of good info there.

You could start your own thread and post some pics of the car, more members will see it there.
