Default Top half car cover?

I'm looking for a minimal FULL LENGHT car cover for sun and bird dropping protection only. I want one that doesn't cover the sides, as the main problem is from above only (birds in tree).I feel like a full car cover takes too long to put on and off probably twice a day.

Also the full cover kind of says "I'm super-proud of my expensive fancy car." ---Which can attract vandalism. I live in a condo with limited parking choices, too much Florida sun, and the only shady spots are under trees which are heavily frequented by birds. I'm not aware of any special vandalism problem here, but there are no other cars with car covers and I don't want to stand out too much.

Like this, but not eBay or china: https://www.dhgate.com/product/custo...03:r0964083984

Anybody know a good source? It has to be super quick and easy to put on, preferably just a couple of hooks to catch under the four corners of the car.

Thanks, Bob Graham

What car do you want to get the cover for? Top half coverage car covers are usually available for convertible top cars and Jeep, but the are not available for Lexus LS models. The disadvantage of such covers is that they don't cover the trunk and the hood so they can still get dirty or fade on the sun.
You may want to read our Car Cover Shopping Guide as it may answer some of your questions.

I modified my original post for clarification. I want one that is full LENGTH but not full height. For the purposes of easier on/off and to not shout "I think I'm special and so is my car" to everyone in the condo association.

I'd also like it to be a bit nicer looking than the one in the link in my modified original post.

What's the matter with the one you show in your link? It looks pretty decent to me.

Otherwise I was going to suggest you buy a full cover from Cover Craft and cut off the sides to fit you car.

I'm trying to envision how one might secure a top-half-only cover to the car. This seems to me to be far more trouble than it's worth.

That was my first thought too..Something is going to have to hook onto something to hold it on. I wouldn't want bungie (or similar) straps running down the sides of the paint.

Still, I don't want the negative attention of a full cover. A partial could be held with as few as four clips and would be easier and faster.

The one in the link is from China and looks like crap.

Negative attention of a full car cover? I've never seen a partial car cover but that one probably more troublesome than a full cover. Be careful with car covers because they can scratch your car.
