Default Trouble opening door with dead battery

Good morning everyone. My battery is dead on my '07 LS460. I popped the driver's side key cover but when I put in the key and turn it is not getting unlocked. I turn in either direction and pull the handle and get no response. Key opens the trunk. The soft close door motor was replaced on the car a year ago and they may have broken the manual key mechanism. Damn it. Suggestions?

I don't know if the Lexus cars do this, but my BMW and Acura would roll the windows down if you held the key turned in the door lock. Linkage might be broken to unlock the door but maybe the electronics to roll the windows down will suffice?

Try the passenger side door.

Is there a physical key hole on the passenger side? I've honestly never looked, but I've only had the car for a couple of months.

The LS does roll down its windows...if the battery is not dead.
The passenger side key cylinder has been gone on nearly all cars for years.
Do you have the second key to try in the driver's door? Have you tried inserting
the key(s) both ways, 180 degree rotate?

Yeah, I wasnt thinking on that one...

Battery is under the hood on an 07 I assume and thus you can't get to it? What about getting into the car via the trunk, do you have the passthrough? I'm not sure if you can open that from inside the trunk, but could probably reach a door handle with a hanger maybe?

Battery is completely dead. Good news though, I got it open! I got the subs out of the back, pulled the passthrough door open but visibility was poor especially being in a parking garage and having 5% tint. I then remembered my Apple watch could see what the iphone is seeing. I put a broom handle into the skipass and held the iphone while looking at the watch and manuevering the broom handle. I got the back door open. Now, do I need to go to a mechanic to fix the manual key lock mechanism or I can open up the door panel and it is a simple cable connection that got undone?

I'm glad you got the door open. The passenger side key cover have a small slot and I assumed it popped off also but it does not.

The manual key should work without power. It has in every vehicle I have owned.
