Where the battery terminals cleaned and checked? The ground connection to chassis verified very clean and secure? If you have testing equipement a simple voltage check might answer your question. Good luck!

Obviously check simple things like connections first. Also, is the new battery fully charged? If those check out and all you have a fairly loud "Click", a bad starter is a good possibility. I'm not trying to alarm you but I just went through something almost identical to you and I had to change my starter recently. Its not the most difficult thing I've ever done on a car by far but I have a lot of tools many people probably don't have (multiple sockets, swivel sockets, socket extensions, torches, impact guns and power ratchets, etc.) and its a fairly healthy amount of work. Its just a lot of parts removals and reinstallations (All lower engine covers, sway bar, sway bar bracket, passing motor mount dipstick tube, passenger side exhaust manifold, and a few other items. I did mine on jack stands in my heated garage so I wasn't in a huge hurry. Some of the nuts and bolts you need to get to seem impossible when you first look at or sometimes can only feel them, but I would say its a DIY for a mechanically inclined person with mechanics knowledge and some time and tools.
