I normally get such from Amazon but I make sure its sold by Amazon (or Toyota/Lexus dealers ) and not by third party to avoid counterfeits or knock offs......

The plugs have a 120k miles life. However, Lexus wants them to be replaced at 60k because of emissions warranty.
Oh...I know WHY they specify it, I just wanted members to understand that delaying the replacement was not detrimental.

Agree. I am much more comfortable buying on Amazon than eBay. I once bought what were supposed to be genuine Wiley X motorcycle glasses. Since I had a genuine pair that I was replacing, I immediately recognized that the pair I bought were bogus. I will still buy some things on eBay such as collectibles, but I am very cautious.

Since spark plugs are critical to engine performance, and that it is sometimes difficult to differentiate genuine and fake ones, I'd buy spark plugs from a Toyota dealer. As Chris and several others have found out, Toyota dealers charge much less for Lexus parts and labor. For example, this Toyota dealer's online part department, https://www.puentehillstoyota.com/pa...tore.htm#parts, sells genuine Toyota Part# 90919-01249 (i.e., genuine Denso FK20HBR11) spark plugs at $12.98 each, while most online Lexus dealer part stores sell the same Toyota Part# 90919-01249 spark plugs for 25%-40% higher.

^^^ Thanks, I just bought a set, even though I'm only at 52,600 miles right now What the hell, I'll just keep them handy for when I hit 60k.

Check the "use by date" I think they go bad like milk if you don't put them in within two weeks. LOL

They better not, lol! What's more likely to happen is that I'll put them somewhere "safe" and never see them again

be wary of counterfeit Denso spark plugs.

I had a set of fakies on my GS. It even come packaged in TOYOTA packaging. Made the car drive really bad and rough. Was off ebay and its definitely safer buying directly from Toyota or Denso

Hi, did you have to reprogram anything after replacing the spark plugs? Also, what was the trickiest part while replacing it. Thanks

There is no need to "reprogram" anything with plug replacement ! As simple as doing it on a lawn mower. Not sure why everyone seems to make this seems like a magical process! Dealer prices are ridiculous.

On my '13 the hardest part was getting to the two plugs closest to firewall. Suggest that you do a search as there are several hints on other "tricky" bits.
