gonna start looking at buying one of these next week

That is mainly do to their touch screen/nav systems and how annoying they are to use from previous version, it is not just Accords that tumble mainly from reviewers not liking the interaction systems, it is Acura's, Cadillac's, Fords, etc. The basic reliability of Accords is still very solid though the 2.0 turbo engine is pretty new so it is unknown how reliable it will be. I would bet the Accord is going to be more reliable then a KIA and has much less potential expensive issues then a used LS. The new Accord with the 2.0 is very quick, quicker then the Camry 6 cylinder which I find puzzling, Camry must be poorly geared for acceleration.

Having spent a week of seat time in a new G90...All I can say I was glad to get back to LEXUS.
It has it all on paper - the features, the power...but not the refinement.
Great car - but not for me.

The Kia Stinger is on a shortened G80 platform.
Regardless, I can't drop that kind of money on a car from a company which uses furries as spokescritters.
Even the G90 is nice, but $70K+ for a Hyundai? Nope!

I have not heard of any issues with the auto transmissions in Accords unless you go back to the old 5 speeds from a couple generations ago, maybe the CVT's have some issues but the 2.0 is not paired with the CVT.

I know we have different needs, lifestyles, preferences etc.. .... but for the price of the KIA you can :
-buy a 2013+ LS460
-buy a 2006+ Bentley continental (sedan or coupe)
-buy a 2013+ supercharged jaguar (sedan or coupe)
-buy a show room condition muscle/classic car
-buy a dodge viper
-buy a heavily modified corvette-mustang-camaro
-put a half payment down on a Lamborghini Gallardo -Audi R8 - Rolls Royce phantom etc...
-buy a boat and a truck to tow it
-buy a nice RV to travel
-etc.....
Buying a kia when you have so many other options, to me would seem like an egregious mismanagement of funds.
No offense

Call this odd, but I was very impressed by the 2018 Honda Accord 2.0t. It is as quick as a RWD LS460, but with better mileage and lower cost: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...ic-test-review
