What are warning signs of bad control arms?
Over the years I've skimmed hundreds of individual responses in control arm threads here, but not sure I recall reading anyone who points out what you should look for to determine if your control arms are bad. Is it a noticeable change in ride quality? Something else?

In my case, I had one ball joint and one control arm that were bad. The only way I found out, was when I went to have a wheel alignment done. The tech discovered the problem and said they couldn't do the alignment until I had them replaced. The car drove fine.

in my case, the LS460 would make a noticeable clunk sound when applying brakes moderately hard at ~40mph.

Clicking over speed-bumps is a good indicator. Then you can also use my fave: the rubber mallot method. Whack those control arms and listen for one to sound different from the others. Happy Hunting
