Hello,
I was looking for some feedback on this car. The service records seem pretty good. CARFAX shows an accident back in 13. This car has the options/color I've been looking for. It's 5 hours away from where I live so trying to decide driving down to see it. I'm considering going to an LS from my current 2014 GS 350 AWD Luxury package(no ML). I've been through 2 ES's before that.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Greetings. Many of these used cars have been in some sort of accident. Some have been in an accident and get away with reporting it. I didn't see where the damage occurred, but if it's up front, I generally move on. An accident wouldn't deter me depending on the deal, but it's a matter of preference. Personally though, I'm a big fan of the Mark Levinson system and I would probably pass on a car without it. But I wish you luck in your decision. You'll be happy in a LS.

Thanks for the feedback. The accident said front left. This car does have ML which is a must for me. Does't say it in the feature list but the dash pics show it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Hello, friend .... just a thought ... assuming you had enough time to do this, I would pull an oil sample and send it to a lab like Blackstone ( https://www.blackstone-labs.com/ )
This may seem kind of unnecessary, right? Perhaps. As for me, I bought an LS one time that looked just as sweet as this car here ... long after I bought the car, I did finally do an oil test and much to my great surprise, it showed evidence of small, trace amounts of coolant in the oil. However it sure looked great ... and honestly it ran great, too. Well .... turns out my car either has a cracked head or needs a head gasket. I should mention this was a car that had 100,000 miles on it when I bought it. And it still runs great 45,000 miles later. ( I have not done the heads yet )
Probably this is not the case with a Lexus that has 55,000 on it .......... The car you found looks awesome. It will talk to you when you test-drive it. If it was me and I did buy it, I would totally flush every single fluid and replace with the correct Toyota replacements .... but then, over the years I have turned into one of those people that tend to disregard the time / milage limits on when to change fluids .... because I have lived the life of hard knocks for too long. It is a Lexus, after all .... it is worth it to me .... just sayin' : )
In my mind it may be more important as to who the previous owner was and how they treated the car ... these guys that are really fastidious with maintenance tend to boast about it ... they are proud owners, you know?
forgive me ... I am just thinking out-loud here .... you may have found a really great car here and it sure does seem sweet ....... I like it
PS I am noticing the possibility of slight misalignment of the lower bumper cap piece where the panel flows into the headlight and hood area - driver side / front. You may want to take a very close look. Here is a video that will help explain :

Look closer at the inside door picture and it looks like the door arm rest is fading and the piece behind the window switches, could be the dreaded melting trim pieces. The silver trim piece under the temp readout looks like it is peeling too. Some pics show what are either holes/gouges in the dash or water drops, can't tell. I would have them send some close ups. It is priced a little high, I would try to get them to more around 24 or 24.5.

I've also been on the hunt for a nice 2010-2012 LS, and have spent countless hours poring over CarGurus, AutoTrader, etc. in search of the perfect car. Based on what I've been seeing, I think the 2012 you are looking at is overpriced by ~$3K, maybe a bit more depending on the severity of the accident. Whenever I spot what appears to be a sweet deal on an LS, it always turns out to have had an accident on the Carfax. For whatever reason, valid or not, there seems to be a steep price reduction associated with any accidents that make it to Carfax.
Several people on this forum have advised to take my time in finding the right car, and they believe that the 4G LSs will likely drop a bit more in price after the full release of the new LSs (happening this month in many places). Especially for the pre-refresh (pre-2013) models, which will now be two versions old...
If I see anything that looks decent in your area, I'll shoot you a link. I'm pretty obsessed right now, which is half the fun of getting a Lexus to me...

I am also of the thought if it had an accident I would pass as well. It also sounds like you may be a little hesitant as well.
I ended up flying twice four states and countless drives looking at local cars till I finally found my ride.
Good Luck

For reason stated above, and the fact that the dealership is so far from your home, I'd skip it.
Also, is it just the photos or is that paint dull?

I would not worry about the accident since it was so early in the vehicles life and most owners could not live with any blemishes on their luxury car. Plus it was turned back in to the selling dealer who then L/certified the vehicle if that means anything to you. I do think it's a bit overpriced and in a couple months you could probably get a 2013 for somewhere close to that money.
