Just noticed that my 2009 LS460 started to scratch the ramp of my driveway, which did not happen before.
Looks like it sits lower than before.
Before this happened, i took it to a Lexus dealer to check out the front suspension, to troubleshoot a rattling noise when going over uneven local roads.
dealer tightened up stabilizer links and adjusted some control arms and the rattle was mostly gone.
wonder if the suspension springs are getting weaker? and if the strut assemblies need to be replaced? thanks,

Tightening sway bar linked wouldn’t change the height and it’s hard to imagine that the springs are worn that much to change the height. My 2002 LS430 had over 275,000 miles on it without any noticeable height change. I’m not saying it didn’t change but the stance looked very nice and even. That being said, nothing is impossible but new struts won’t change the height at all. If the height changed that much, maybe a spring broke down low where it sits in the “cradle” and that may explain any noise? I’ve seen springs that broke very low and it changed the height slightly. That was many years ago though. I don’t really hear of many springs breaking now so I wouldn’t bank on that one.
Good Luck

There are plenty of coil springs that still snap, however this is usually limited to northern states with salt on the roads. I see you're in TX so not likely due to corrosion unless the car spent some time in that environment. Rubber spring hats and seats can deteriorate and crack with age so it's possible one of these gave up and is allowing the car to sit lower. If the car was at full drop on the lift it's possible a deteriorated part fell out. These are just brainstorming ideas at this point. How's your tire pressure?

Thanks a lot for the help.
I took a look under the car, the big black plastic cover is loose, maybe the dealer did not properly fix them in place (not sure why they need to loose that cover), or maybe the car hit something on the road and tear the plastic cover. will get it fixed when i do the oil change in the next few days. Thanks again
