Looks like Oliver didn’t renew vendor status (either accidentally or intentionally, don’t know) so you won’t get a pm reply from him right now
I think you’ve pretty thoroughly covered your opinion in this thread.

I'm still around. I just haven't been able to renew my vendor status when my wife decided that the vaccine is instant death, and getting fired is the obvious correct choice. Now I'm living on berries, nuts and scraps. I have also invented, "The Garbage Diet." Guaranteed to lose weight! For example, if I want to eat Taco Bell food, no problem. I go to Taco Bell, but I don't go inside the dining room. I (or anyone) can dig through their garbage and eat ANYTHING, and AS MUCH AS I care to.
Guaranteed! To! Work! And saves money! So many possible outcomes, and all will save money and lose weight. Either you won't find so much garbage to eat (so you lose weight), or you eat some garbage and it makes you throw up (so you lose weight), or you eat some garbage and get food poisoning (and you lose weight). It's a guaranteed way to lose weight! I'll put money on the fact that if participants go around and eat garbage all day, they're gonna start losing weight in short order. I'm proud of such an awesome idea. I'm like a friggin genius ... or something.
Anywho, back to the Exhaust Vents. I'm out of parts at the moment. But should have new parts in roughly 6 weeks. It's been tough going of late. Especially with 2 sons in college. Gets real tough to pay the bills. Not for the wife though ... she reads books, and the bills somehow get paid without any effort on her part. So, life is great, for her. Anywho - I guess you all can sense it is a sore spot with her and I at the moment (and for a while now).
As for Trey, he's allowed his opinion. I don't have any ill will toward him for that. I have much bigger fish to fry. And I have negative feelings about various / some things myself (read above). But the word gimmick, it sounds negative to me. It implies (to me) a meaning that something intended to achieve something in particular, doesn't actually achieve what it is intended to achieve. And these Exhaust Vents achieve exactly what they intend to achieve. So, by that "understanding" I don't consider them a gimmick.
The actual definition of gimmick is: a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business. These Exhaust Vents are not intended to attract anything really. Their only intention is to ACHIEVE something (an improved sound). But I could understand someone thinking otherwise that they don't achieve said, especially if they have no first hand experience. And, maybe, Trey may not know the origins. I never put a sharp edge to metal with the idea of attracting bidness. I cut metal to test a theory, to make my car sound the way I wanted it to. My other options were somewhere between, not great & horrible. What I did, just happen to work. And also happen to be easily repeatable. After hearing how good they sounded, I decided to not be so stingy about it. I'm an engineer, so solving problems in a repeatable manner is my basic bread & butter. If other guys might be interested in the sound, in a package that can be easily applied, and removed without hassle, why not? That's really all I had in mind. I was not / am not, trying to gimmick anyone.

I have had these exhaust vents for years. I think they are fabulous, very well made, good price. This vender is 100% stand up person. There are not many mods we can do, I enjoy it every time I use the car. You can actually know what gear its in with the slight increase in sound.

I bought a pair from him 3 and half years ago. A set of singles. Still happy with them today and for the cost better than buying a new exhaust system. Putting washers instead would be idiotic these are made to be seamless except for the slit you see on the underside of the joint. He also adds new bolts a bit longer to make up for the added spacing. Sounds very good to me.

I'm really liking my vents (doubles) I received on Friday, install was easy and like everyone says the sound is just about right. I like the sound with the mufflers disconnected too.
Couple of short vids, the rear diff is abit wet from penetrating oil I sprayed on the captive nuts.
