Passenger Door Buzz/Rattle
2007 LWB with 115K.
Passenger door rattles/buzzes with music playing or even driving over rough pavement. Sometimes it will go away temporarily if I roll the window down and back up. (I've noticed also the window makes a "thunk" sound when it gets about 2/3 of the way down but that is unrelated as the buzzing was happening before this). It make listening to music unbearable - it sounds like a blown speaker but it is not. The buzzing is in the door, behind the armrest or near the handle. I guess my question is, anyone experience this and if I need to take the door panel off, is it difficult? I haven't taken a door panel off since I was a teen installing speakers.

Are you sure its not a blown speaker coil? I had a blown coil on my drivers side. I couldn't listen to anything because even at the lowest volume it was a horribly annoying sound. The speaker looked just fine. The suspension was not dry or cracked at all but when I moved the cone in and out with my fingers, it sounded awful! Search "2007 Lexus LS460 door panel removal" on the web and the first few hits are videos of the removal. There are front and rear panel removal videos. The switch clusters just pop out revealing a hidden screw. There is a cover inside of the door handle that pops out revealing a hidden screw. Then I believe you pull out the storage bin door which reveals another screw. Then there's just a bunch of clips. You have the same model I have and it was simple to remove. I did the drivers side but the passenger side should be the same or easier. You can pop the door panel off in less than 30 minutes without a problem. Just make sure you find some sort of instructions to make sure there isn't a hidden screw somewhere.

Could be a door panel vibration. Take it to a high end auto stereo store - they will figure it out and fix it (maybe some dynamat between the panel or a loose bolt on the wondow regulator). My experience with Lexus dealers is that the have cloth ears when it come to the audio system.
