I believe it is LF >> RF >> RR >> LR. That is the order we register TPMS id. with Tech Stream.

Best way to check is to have someone watch the screen while you let some air out of the spare. I am not sure there is always a same order on each car. You can do the same thing with each tire if you need to identify all the positions.

On page 212 of my 2012 Lexus LS460 owners manual shows:

Tire inflation pressure

Displays inflation pressure of each tire.

There is no correlation between the order of the displayed values and the tire positions.

It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after inflation pressure has been adjusted.

Would you believe that the engineers at Lexus would not come up with a better system to tell which tire is low in air?
Even Hyundai has a diagram showing which tire is low in air pressure.
I appreciate your input. Thanks

For me it was putting air in each tire and checking the changes on the screen.

Yep, I think that I would have to do that, and rely on an old fashioned tire guage like before, I think the system would go crazy if I ever rotate tires, maybe the engineers thought of that when they built the system hence, not assigning permanently a sensor to a tire. Thanks for your input.

No problem as I needed to check my tire air pressures anyway with my recently Amazon purchased $10 Cooolbuy 150 PSI Digital Tire Pressure Gauge 4 Settings (ASIN B076NSS3PQ) and $50 STANLEY FATMAX J7CS Jump Starter: 700 Peak/350 Instant Amps, 120 PSI Air Compressor (ASIN B00RZXVQSU).

Since the tire pressure sensors are wireless and the tires get moved around during the tire rotations, I figured Lexus decided not to worry about the tire positions.

So it looks like my spare tire has never been touched as it is a Bridgestone Turanza EL42 P245/45R19 98V made in work week 24 = June of 2012 and had 30 PSI which I filled to 34 PSI since it is currently about 70 degrees in Dallas. The other 4 tires I filled to 34 PSI as well since the nights have been cooler in the 40s and 50s.

It's actually based on the order in which the TPMS sensors are programmed into the car. So it is not always the same per LS. I'm with you on why they didn't put position in there. At least they do now on the new ones.

Yeah no clue why they did it that way, they rectified it with the 2013 refresh.
