Baby Car Seat protectors
Picking up my LS460 tomorrow and I'm researching those covers that protect your car seats from baby-seat imprint... On amazon, the most popular ones I'm finding have reviews saying they seem to either leave an imprint or melt into the leather seats.... What protectors are you guys using on your cars? I've got 2 baby seats I've got to put into it and don't want the leather getting destroyed on such a beautiful car...

I have these. In five years of using them, 2 of them in two different cars to be exact, I've yet to see this melting issue that some folks complain about. I live in Las Vegas, it gets hot as hell here in summer. Maybe some folks are just unlucky, maybe they think its melting and its really their kid spilled a sippy cup. No idea.

Not if you install the seat correctly. The pad itself is grippy on the bottom so it doesn't move and the seat itself should be tightened down sufficiently that it doesn't move either. The protector is really just to keep the hard edges of the seat from putting marks in the leather and, to some extent, attempt to keep whatever your kiddo spills on the seat from getting on the leather.

Just another thought. Look for ones like Kuhan reccommended if your car seats are rear facing. That strap helps hold up the back where your kiddos shoes kick the seat. You can look for ones without that if you have forward facing seats, but I would reccomend getting ones that cover the back regardless. Once you crank that seat in there, the back of carseat tends to dig into the back of the seat and leave marks if you only have one that covers the bottom. If you have booster seats without a back, the ones like Mattbeezy linked would be perfect.

These are the ones that I use. I have two forward facing seats for our 3 year old twins. They don’t stay in all the time because I do us emu backseats for adults and the Lexus is not our primary family vehicle, but the seats stay in for weeks at a time and I never have any issues.
