Anyone bought replacement lug nuts?
OK- here's a quick question- my '08s lug nuts are starting to show rust and it is driving me, well, nuts. Anyone know of a good source for new lug nuts? I'm assuming I could go to the dealer, but I figure I'll have a heart attack once they tell me what they want to charge for them. Figured I'd ask the gurus first.
Thanks,
Brian

You will have a heart attack just at the price of one lugnut ! Ebay has aftermarket 14x1.5 OEM Factory Mag Lug Nuts with Washers. I see a set for around $25 that will do the job. If you are concerned about quality and safety I would just buy a set for $25 and only replace the rusted ones. I am sure the lug nut's quality will be just fine though

When I bought my LS used, the first time I took it to the dealer I told them how much I dislike the locking lug nuts. I forget what they are called, but they use the specialty tool to remove them. They wind up give me 4 brand new lug nuts for free. They even exchanged them for me. Took them forever to find the correct removal tool. Hence the reason I dislike them so much. I do most of my own vehicle work at home. I don't want to fool with them. Plus they look like crap.
You may consider going to the dealer and whining about them rusting. Maybe they'd be willing to replace them for free. Worth a try I guess.

I needed four, as the locking lug nuts on my car were replaced with incorrect depth ones.
I think they were $10-12 each, but I was content. Ordered some off Amazon, and they were the same as the ones which bottomed out on the lug before touching the wheel.

Thanks for the advice, all. Just to cap this off, I ended up buying these from eBay for $25.95:

They looked like an exact match. I asked my tire tech to look closely at them and tell me if he had any reservations- he inspected them, and he said he thought they were fine and they went on perfectly. I then took the car out on the freeway for a few minutes and none of my tires flew off...so we'll call that success. Now, I don't have to deal with the fershlugginer wheel locks and rusting lug nuts anymore!

Anyone have any luck getting lug nuts replaced under the new car warranty? I noticed rusting at what looks like weld points on all of my lug nuts on my 13 AWD LWB. I have a few months left on the original warranty before the 24 month cpo kicks in.

My 2013's nuts are rusted too. Not look so good.

I’ve answered my own post. Dealer replaced all my lug nuts and wheel locks under the new car warranty. Only have about 20 days under this warranty left before my 2 year CPO kicks in so can’t answer whether this would be covered under cpo. The car has 36k on it.
