Easiest stuff first, did you have an earlier iPhone and are you familiar with the Settings/Bluetooth/pairing procedure?
When did you last turn the iPhone 8 completely off and back on? Is the LS running but not moving?
Be glad you did not get the "X"!

I am pretty sure I followed the book correctly. I called Lexus and they walked me thru it could not make a connection. No I did not reset phone.

One thing I do not understand is the passkey as to where to input into the phone .

My iPhone X mates with my non ML nav factory dash unit. I tried to download the phones contacts and while it said it was transferring I stopped it after 5 minutes or so. Nothing happened. How long should it take?

I have a 6s and had no issues connecting mine. Had to do it while the car was running but in park. Think my input code was 1111 or 0000. Either way glad ya got it working
