I have a 2013 LS460 F Sport Package trim
Has anyone attempted to replace their air suspension with OEM non-air spring/struts? The mounting for front and rear looks similar if you look at 2013 OEM non-air struts. I can't see the chassis strut mounting points be designed differently between Air vs non-air options.
My understanding is that the air suspension comprises of bellows for suspension and AVS controlled struts for dampening control, hence the modules/motors on top of each strut. I don't want to lose the AVS feature by converting to non-air and losing the ability to use the "sport" mode on my car to stiffen the dampeners. I believe this works the same as the AVS system in the GS430, GS460, and 2013+ GS350 but with bellows instead of springs..
Anyone with experience with Arnott's and whether they have AVS with their replacement air struts?
Any know of other aftermarket air suspension kits that will be a direct bolt on using the OEM air lines and wont cause trouble with OEM air suspension ECU?
Also, any coilovers will be direct bolt-ons?
I'm not familiar in the aftermarket arena.
After a conversion to non-air, would pulling the fuse to the air compressor and unplugging the suspension ECU resolve the dash lights?

Happened to run across your post since Ive been looking at the Arnott shock/strut set up. I cant answer many of your questions but I can tell you that you will lose the sport/comfort setting if you switch to a non-air set up. I did my front suspension a couple of years ago and noticed the actuator on top of the shock. Realized that this was connected to the switch for comfort/sport mode. When the switch is turned either way, the actuator would spin and I assume would tell the shock what mode to be in. I'll be tuned in here thought in case someone chimes in on the Arnott system.

Ok few months ago replace my front air suspension set up with aftermarket air, only last week did i start experiencing driving issues, wondering around, noisy front end. Took LS to my Mechanic and he thinks the right air strut has failed to cause the issue, bit frustrating after I did my homework, but I should have listened to my gut feeling and went for coil overs, have emailed the supplier but won't hold my breath, also my ML Amp died the week before so if anyone knows what I should do please reply as the amp repairer say can't fix due to parts, Lexus will stay in the shed until i can work out what to do.......
