Added New Lexus to the Family Stable
Ok
So have been working on the 46 year old son in Richmond, VA who wants a convertible that it was time for a Lexus. He has had 3 BMW's 3 series I believe all POS's and all money pits. Anyway I have been looking for him and found this 2005 SC 430 with 76,792 miles just up the road from Richmond an hour. He got it for $13,900 which included tags, taxes and fees which is 1500-2000 grand below book I believe. Anyway if you have a second take a look at the service record and let me know if I gave him good advise. I know nothing about SC 430's.

Dennis, Looks like the CarGurus ad has been taken down, and the Lexus History link doesn't seem to work either...
I own a 2006 SC430 and can confirm this is an amazing, refined, sleek sport coupe that your son will enjoy for many years (once you get hooked on the SC, it's hard to let go). There was a fairly major upgrade in 2006 (new suspension pieces, 6-speed transmission, new dash instrument cluster, etc) but the 2002-2005 models are pretty amazing cars, and you can't beat the price for this sort of car. Please post some photos if you get them and ask any specific questions you might have - this forum is full of extremely knowledgeable and helpful SC430 lovers!

Go for it, Steve! I'm a huge fan of the SC430s, and think they are a real bargain now, considering their rarity, reliability, and great looks! You can find a lot of low-mileage SCs that have been pampered since new. Maybe a nice silver 2009 Pebble Beach edition to match your silver LS460L?

Here is something I found out about the SC 430 that sucks today. It is not supported by the Carista app. I was going to take the iPad and the ELM 327 interface to VA Saturday to use on the son's 2005 SC 430 but the SC's are not supported.
