I noticed that he had the transmission flushed at 185K and then again at 235K. It's curious that he went that long and then did it again 50K miles later, but then didn't have it done for another 100K. There was no notation that the customer experienced a problem with the transmission.

Yeah I noticed that, thought it was a little strange. I figure...well there was the whole "lifetime" fluid thing, so maybe the dealer didn't try to sell it initially? Then some service writer did. And maybe the guy worked there for a couple years and followed up on another service, then went somewhere else and the next writer didn't try to sell him one? I'm not sure how different dealers upsell their work.

I think he may have had a nice roadside assistance program through the dealer, and he also had lots of alignments done, maybe the alignments/tires were part of a deal or rebate incentive program? Like you buy tires through us you get free rotations and discounted alignments? I don't know.

I can see why he got the cam timing motor done at the dealer rather than an independent...need a dealer part, need diagnostics. I can understand that.

The control arms are a ridiculously expensive repair at a dealer - and a cheap easy job for an independent - maybe he went that route? Who knows? But can you really even imagine a car, any car, going 330,000 miles with any sort of front end part replacement? Nothing? Not a tie rod, ball joint, control arm or sway bar bushing?? Never seen that before on any car, ever. I mean of course I've never seen every car on the planet, but every car I've ever seen a long term work history of has had some sort of front end repair. Have you ever seen/owned a car with that type of mileage (or close to it) that needed no front end repair? I'm curious.
