Hi,
please, I need opinion on the Lexus in my driveway, on approval test run. LS 460 RWD, Nice condition, Mercury Metalic with a black interior. 93 K. Miles.... MSRP was72K in 2007. Fancy chrome spokes, new tires, Pilot Michelin’s. Levinson.
Lexus dealer price is 15,800 dollars....
Is this good, not so good?...
Is AWD better?
Are suspension issues negated by having RWD.
Anxiously awaiting replies...

Welcome to Club Lexus.
I would plug all the particulars of the car into a couple sites like Edmunds, KBB and NADA and see what values you get there. The price seems reasonable, but ALWAYS make a lower offer.
Since the car is not a 460L, you do not have air suspension, so no worries there. You can enter the car's VIN on the Lexus website and check the service records of the car at Lexus dealerships. The 2007 model had 3 recalls, make sure they were all done..

Hi Rich,
Just three months ago I bought a 2007 460 also Mercury with 104,000 miles. Perfect condition, dealer maintained every 5000 miles from new, I absolutely love it.
I bought it from an 80 year old guy I know from Starbucks, i paid $11,000 and immediately put new front rotors, pads, and four new tires on it for another $1000.
So my true cost was $12,000, which I felt was a good price. If you really want it offer the dealer $12.500 and see what he comes back with, it is such a horrible game back and forth.

Mine is Mercury Mettalic with those Telios Wheels. MSRP was 72K back in 07. They are replacing rear shocks, which were leaking.
Bought from a Lexus dealer and they don’t dicker on price.
93000 Miles. 15,400.
I am going to like it

Yes folks, I will get the car Friday. Although inflexible on price Lexus does a goog job getting problems fixed for the buyer.
Hard to believe this car was 72K brand new. I believe except for dvdit is loaded up. I use to be a staunch supporter of
Cadillac, owned several, always bought used, but in well cared for condition. I am afraid they cannot compete with this car, even by today’s standard. Thanks for the support.....

Congrats on vehicle. I know prices vary by area, but I think your price is in line. When I bought my 07 (70k mi) from an 85 yr old client, the dealer told her that they could sell it for 16k, but offered her 12,500, which is what she offered it to me for (I gave her 13k to help some on her lost sales tax benefit).
If the dealer hasn't or won't give you a build sheet, when you register at the Lexus owner site you can email them your vin and request a build sheet, which they will promptly send.
Also, if you like the XM radio, sign up for the trial, and at the end they should send you a letter with an offer of $99 for three years. I tried to get this when my wife's subscription for her ES renewed but was told they only do this for older cars (ended up with one year for $99).
Enjoy!
