I have currently have an 2008 and have been considering getting a 2013 - 2017 model. I was hoping someone could help with a couple of questions.

1) Can anyone verify if the 2013 - 2017 models have the Hard Disc Drive so you can down load CD's?
2) Also is the power door closer an option or are they standard?

1. The CD recording like in the 2007/8 models is gone in the newer models BUT, it allows you to put in a USB drive and it will read music off that. So you can take all your MP3 (with in spec) and buy a 64gb+ USB drive and have a good chunk of your collection with you. I believe this started in the 2010 year. Personally, I would like this better, than the other way.

For the 2013+ LS460 I am pretty confident that the power-door closer thing you're asking about is standard. I have the base model and mine auto-close.

The 2013+ cars still have a HDD but its for the navigation, you can no longer rip/record to it.

I'm pretty sure that soft close doors are standard on all 2013+. It comes as part of the Comfort package which I have yet to find a vehicle in my 6 months of vehicle searching that didn't have it.

My friend have door closer on his 2013 LS. He said the comfort package comes standard on all 2013 and up.

I thought that too but, it's just a soft close, just shut the door very lightly, and if you have it, it will pull the door tight...
