dog in your LS
Anyone haul around their pooch in their LS? I have a 100lb golden, and this is the one thing holding me back from buying, and going from SUV to sedan.

I think if you are going to be hauling around a 100 pound dog you should not be getting such a nice car as a LS460, especially one with the rear seat ultra luxury package. The dog is just going to ruin the interior and you will have a lot of trouble selling the LS when it is time to sell it. I have seen a few LS's where the interior was basically ruined by what looks like a dog, gouges in the leather, arm rests, even dash, it looked terrible and was a total deal breaker. I would look toward a CUV in your case or a beater family sedan that you just don't care if the dog ruins the interior. Why go through the headache of going out of your way and worrying about protecting your interior when you haul your dog around.

I've hauled dogs in my cars before without ruining the interior. In fact my Mom & Dad had a Golden retriever who rode in his LS430, she liked to rest her front legs on the armrest so she could be in between them on trips. He had a blanket that he put down over the armrest and she never damaged a thing.
Just get a seat cover, and you'll be fine.

Here is a picture of a rear seat cover I recently purchased just to provide another protection option - in my case this is for two car seats I am planning to install -I picked this up on Amazon- rumbi baby with a center pass through zipper

I have concerns about let certain people ride in the back seat of the LS much less a 100lb dog

I drag my two dogs around in my LS460. One is an 80 pound golden and the other is a 40 pound mixed golden. I have a similar hammock as seen in the above posts with absolutely no damage to my back seats. I would prefer to have my dogs in the back over some of my family. YRMV

I 3rd the motion. My mongrel is about 20 lbs of hair (fur) and rubber. Fur on the outside, rubber on the inside. I won't even let her in my ole crusty 19 year old truck, much less my LS, no matter what I did to the back seat. My mongrel sheds about a head of hair a day. My current mongrel has a body shaped just like Donkey (from Shrek), with dingo fur. The garage is her main house and the garage is ruined with dog hair. 10 years after she passes, I'll still find dog hair. Conversely I had a Weimaraner prior to the current mongrel. The Weimaraner never shed, she was an awesome dog all around. But I still wouldn't have rode her around in the LS. She would have rode in my truck no problem.

Have you installed these yet? How is the fitment and quality? I'm looking something similar for the LS also. I was looking at the WeatherTech seat protector. https://www.weathertech.com/lexus/20...at-protectors/

My delayed response on the seat protector with trunk pass through quality question - I believe there is no other that has zippers in the middle that allows you to use the trunk pass through without having to remove the seat protector. The quality of the material is good and the fit in 2 out of 3 areas is good. It covers from door to door- width. It hangs over the lip of the seat about 6 inches so has very good coverage down to the carpet. The one area were it is a little short is up the back of the seat- I would say 6 inches short. I put some towels there. You really can’t pull it up more because the seatbelt holes would not align - not perfect but I can still use the trunk pass through without having to remove the car seats which is what was important to me.
