Default what material...? dash pillars etc pleather? leather?

It all looks like leather so I assume it is not real leather... the dash so can I safely use 303 on it? The lower driver's side pillar is messed up, new its 300+ I also assume it is not real leather so is this something that can be reupholstered ?

I know its changed through the years, but I can tell you what is real leather and what is not in my 2017 LS460 L with the semi-aniline leather upgrade.

The seat surfaces are leather, the center armrest is leather. The steering wheel is leather. Everything else is synthetic leather, doors, lower dash, sides of the console, etc.

You can actually use 303 on leather...

Everything is plastic ("pleather") in the '07 except the seating surfaces and, in a few cars cars, the door panels and door pulls.

Yikes, they sure cut corners. Makes me wonder if the 2006 had more leather and more quality in it.

On an 07 the center armrest is real leather also if it has semi-aniline leather, and the steering wheel is also leather.

Yes and no. So on an LS430 there was a door insert which was gathered leather, but the armrest was pretty terrible feeling soft plastic unless you had a CL or UL car, and then the door armrests and pulls were leather, along with the sides of the console and the lower dash. On LS400s the door inserts and door armrests were all leather, but there was no option for leather on the dash.

Leather on the door pulls wears really hard, had that issue in both my LS400 and LS430. Although it doesn't feel quite as nice as leather, I'm actually happy my LS460 has synthetic leather In those areas.

I have the semi aniline interior in grey. I think it's available in any interior color.

Oh, yes, I forgot about the front center armrest, steering wheel and gearshift. But the lower B pillars are definitely plastic, OP.

well i guess it would be easy enough for someone to reupholster those then... only place that looks a bit tattered the steering wheel too... I think the coating on the leather has come off...

my old 2005 430 had the softest butter suede headliner, soo much better than the 4th generation. i guess lexus decided to cut costs and go to a cheaper material.

My LS460 has an incredibly soft sueded headliner, if anything softer than what was in my LS430. Its just an option, it was an option on the 430 too.

In order to get the suede headliner in an LS430 you have to have a Custom Luxury or Ultra Luxury model, so fairly rare.

The suede headliner is actually way more way more common in the LS460.
