My mechanic showed me before and after pics of the pan. If anyone is on the fence because of pricing, or the extra time if you're a DIY'er...Do it! The after pics was literally night and day. It was NASTY, and you could barely see the magnets prior to cleaning.

I can personally say that dirty transmission fluid is the main culprit of the notorious shudder.

BTW, I have 88K miles.
