Merry Christmas to everyone,

I will post photos as I take them,

Put an Xpel ultimate paint protection film on my bumper.

have to say, love it think it provides great peace of mind for rock chips and bringing my car in for service with them scuffing my car up.

I put a ceramic coating on it and its almost invisible.

Overall, if the car wasn't painted over I wouldn't have done it, but looks great

Last weekend:

Replaced HID low beams with LED's. MUCH brighter but the light cutout isn't as clean. I took a great pic when I parked at CVS next to RX350 which uses same light system.

Looks beautiful! Mind telling the cost?

I am thinking about Xpel ultimate on front bumper at least and ceramic coating. $900 for ceramic coating and $450 for clear bra on front bumper is the quote I got. Is it reasonable in the DFW area?

Do you think clear bra on the whole hood, fenders and mirror back is an over kill?

hi the average cost for the pre cut Xpel ultimate is around $500
so your quote is reasonable
as far as question for whole hood and fenders depends on two things
how much peace of mind you want?
and most important is the paint condition
if it is like my hood with road imperfections that go beyond swirls that can be polished out but small rock chips I wouldn't do the whole hood
my bumper was painted over so I did it to keep it looking like new and peace of mind of going to the dealer for service and them keep scratching my bumper.

good luck.

Yes, the LED's have to be wired up to 12V so I had to take bumper off to take lights off so I could take ballasts off and connect LED's directly into 12V.
Unless LED you buy can accept 25000V that the ballast sends to the bulb you'll have to take the bumper off.
Honestly not that big of a deal, 2-3 hours for everything considering this was my first time taking bumper off.

I also installed Hella Supertones while I had the grill off. Very different sound and dare I say it doesn't "fit" the car but holy **** is it loud. Scares even NYC yellow cabs off your way.

2-3 hours for everything considering this was my first time taking bumper off. Nothing difficult really and all you need is a phillips and flat screwdrivers and a 10mm socket.

Hardwired a dash cam with front and rear camera and parking monitor (has a voltage cut off that can be set to keep the battery from dying), excited to see how well it captures while the car is parked. It also has lane departure warning and collision warning, but I turned off the lane departure warning because I'm not planning on using it (made a funny knock knock sound every time I switched lanes). I got surprised when I was approaching a speed camera because it warned me about it and told me the speed limit on the road. Neither the Ez-Pass or the camera are visible from the driving position and the rear camera does not interfere with the privacy shade.

Same dashcam I have! It works great. Is yours the F800 Pro or the Q800 Pro?

Nice, it wasnt out when I got mine. Mine's the same physical camera unit, I've considered upgrading it to the Q800 Pro to get the 2K recording. Uses the same mount and everything.
