Yep, 6% less HP and Torque, and 380 lbs heavier. Seems somewhat negligible to me, but that's definitely subjective. The RWD model would be the way to go for anyone not living in a snowy climate. I just don't think the car was intentionally detuned to account for the 8-speed transmission not being able to handle the full power on the AWD models, and I don't think the AWD makes the car significantly less reliable. For some, the AWD is a must-have.

If you can source parts and do the work yourself it can be done for much cheaper. Replaced my front drivers air shock for $625 with a low-mileage used replacement from an LS600h.

The air shock replacement need seems to be anywhere from 60-120k. Age and mileage all factor in. 2400 to fix one shock? seems a tad high since OEM retail is 1600 and the swap of air struts is quite straightforward for labor cost.

if you like bending over for the dealer for everything... for a used car at that.... of course everything is going to be expensive. there is 0 reason to go to a dealer once warranty expires.

thoughts are look for a 2013 at this point for that price range with a well serviced history and 60 to 70 k for that price
then buy a lexus platinum warrant y for 2k...
to spend that much money on a 2010 doesn't make sense.
I bought mine a 2010 loaded up w Levinson and sport wheels in jan 2019 with 68k for 16,900 in pristine condition its now year and half later.
good luck
