Anyone use TOTAL engine oil?
I've just heard about it... they have it at my indy shop here. was wondering if anyone over there uses it or knows anything good or bad about it.

Yep! I heard of it...... Not a well known oil in my area but the specs are right up there with the other "boutique oils" some of the KIA dealers in my area use it. I would use it along with a quality oil filter.
I am a huge fan of Amsoil and have been using the Synthetic Oil in all my vehicles for over 30 years...... Not to get into a "oil debate" but I feel "IF" you use a well made QUALITY oil filter and change your oil as per the recommended oil manufacturers specs you will be OK.
Amsoil 100% Synthetic SIGNATURE motor oil for me with their Ea oil filters and change the oil at 9-10k. miles. The Signature oil is pricey but I feel it is worth it.
