Low coolant runs in our Lexus family
Some may already be familiar with my leaking coolant issue on our 2013 460, detailed here. I am borrowing my Dad's 2006 LS 430 and decided to check its coolant level. Lo and behold, it was bone dry! Radiator still looked good though. No leaks anywhere and I used a wireless endoscope to look all around the engine compartment and underneath. No coolant stains or Crystal's anywhere like were on my 460. Furthermore, the wife's 2006 ES 330 was also low on coolant, but not bone dry.
The haven't replenished the wife's coolant for probably over two years, but not sure why the LS 430 reservoir was so empty and needed 22 ounces to bring to Full. The reservoir cap on the LS 430 was clean and did not exhibit any crusty residue like the ES 330 has.

Forget Poweball, Mega Millions is up to $1.6 Billion. That'll buy some coolant.

Thanks for the laughs and keen observations, fellas. I am already part of the work Lotto pool for MegaMillions. Unbelievable how high that has reached.

Well, thanks to @PCW in the LS 430 forum, I confirmed our LS 430 also has a coolant leak...just a different area. Love the clublexus community and all the shared knowledge. These coolant leaks are so hard to track down.
