Default Removing Scratches from Center Consol Wood & Detailing

Is there a product that can actually remove scratches from the wood? What do you use to detail the wood?

I would also post your question in the DETAILING SECTION...... If you don’t get any help here.

BTW! Any pix of the damaged/scratched wood is helpful in determining the repair.

I think it depends on how deep the scratches are. If your fingernail catches on the scratch when you rub over it then it is probably too deep to do anything. If its not then you could try meguiars plastx can get it any any auto parts store, Walmart, target, etc. While a scratch on paint that catches can sometimes be wet sanded to reduce and then cut and polished, I don't think I would try that on interior wood.

the problem is getting the panel out to give it a full polish

Polishing it in place is so hard and u cannot get perfect results because of all the interference , something id like to do as well

For sure, but like ***** said what you need to do is get the panel out and really give it a good polish, or use really small little polishing discs. Here's a video about it:

Yup, as others have said the process to remove scratches there is the same as the body. You need to get the trim piece out of the car to do it right.

Here's a pic of the window switch surround in my 400 that I recently refreshed. No before pics but it was baaaaddddd...

Hmmm, I attached it directly to the post (not a link) so it's gotta be an IB issue?

EDIT: Can also see the same pic in post 13 of this thread - - > https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...-94-ls400.html

I would also be careful with how much heat you generate with a small polishing disc. I am sure you could melt the plastic? or whatever type of clear coat is on there if you go too fast.

I’m sure you could, have to be careful or leave it to professionals.
