Trunk Air Suspension display
Hi,
Been bored lately so decided to start a little project.
The factory spare tire wheel has my suspension set up. Its covered by the factory black mat. figure i may as well show it as the set up while not amazing is pretty nice IMO. Maybe when i have more money i can chrome all the lines and the tank but im not rich. I collected a million cans from garbage bins to buy this. JK.
Anyhow, purchased some plexiglass, traced, cut, fit, cut again, fit , and sand. Then covered the sound deadening with black carpet since it looked like aluminum foil.
Im not done yet as i want to cover the side and top portion of the plexiglass with vinyl to look something like the below. Originally was trying to add felt with glue on top of the plexiglass but its way too difficult to and it was looking ghetto. But you get the idea.Have to order carbon look vinyl so might be a little while.

That looks pretty good! I wouldn't mind having that as my setup
Have you tried polishing the hard lines?
If not, try first on a scrap line, get some metal polish (metal wheel polish will work) use a microfiber or if you don't mind spending an extra $35 on the mothers power cone or power ball & attach to drill. Use a little polish at a time, the polish should turn black, whip it off. Should polish out to a chrome like finish.
Definitely, in for more!
