Ls460 battery wear
My car must be unique. I have 130,000 miles on it, 11years old, live up north and have the original battery in it. Never have seen that b/4

I might have been able to equal you. I bought my 2007 new in July of that year. After 10 years and 111,000 miles I decided to change it before winter, but it was still working fine. What I didn't like is when a place that was doing some body work let the battery run down, and I know the battery loses some capacity when that happens.
I actually regret not pushing it, which is my usual inclination on most anything!

Those original Panasonic batteries that came with these cars are REALLY good batteries. You can't buy them in the US, replacement batteries sold by Lexus dealers aren't the same.

I think one of the keys for the battery longevity is daily driven. Don't let the car sits too long and not living in extreme climates.
I don't see the point of spending over $700 for a battery unless it's agm or lithium ion.

I can't imagine spending 700 for a starting battery AGM or not. Recent thread about replacing with a similar sized battery to the D31 is the H7. Better and more reasonable pricing for a wear and tear item.

Theres no reason to spend $700 for the battery. Remember you can buy 4 high quality regular batteries for what one of those batteries cost, and if you replace them every 3 years you'll never have an issue. So, conservatively 12 years of batteries.
