Electric Parking Brake Not Working
Hello everybody,
I have a Lexus ls460 2007 which is a great car love it. The battery died oneday and when I replaced it, it is giving me a error saying to take my car to Lexus dealer regarding the parking brake system. I know parking brake is not broken as it was working fine and it must be a simple reset procedure probably. Any help is appreciated if you have experienced this or know what to do. Thank You!

You should try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes. It's a long shot but doesn't cost much. Be sure to do it when the ignition is off.

Another thing you should check is the battery. I believe that the car is designed to provide a warning when the battery's State-Of-Charge is too low to reliably operate the parking brake.

Today I actually checked the actual warning code given and it is saying C13AD “Open in B+ Circuit” and “ B+ Voltage low.”
I am going to go to the shop tommarow to check my battery health and voltage. So far everything is pointing toward your dignostics. Thanks so much! I will keep you updated on what happens.

Do independent mechanics have access to Techsteam, or Techsteam-like systems? I know my indy has a pretty extensive OBD2 "analyzer" device but I don't know if it handles manufacturer specific stuff like this.
Or would a Carista unit help reset or review the code?

prey its not your brake actuator. if so, i would go ahead and prepare your anus as its an expensive and terrible repair. thats the Ls400 starter issue of the Ls460.....
