Hi All,
I apologize if this 'remedy' was posted already but I received this in the mail today and wanted to add it in here should anyone have missed or, or may need a quick reference.
EDIT: I do have a 2013, so this was given supposedly to owners that are not just 2007-2012, but 2013+?...
I will say thus far my ownership of my LS, I've had zero issues with this melting dash issue that some have experienced in prior years (knock on wood), and my car is unfortunately parked outside in the Chicago weather year round.
It said additionally in the other 3-4 pages within the letter that this would come at no cost to the customer.
I do have a 2013 - Kuhan knows what I drive because he's a local member and we've been a part of a different forum in the past (ChicagoZ.com)
I received this letter the day I posted up the thread so it was yesterday, December 10, 2018.
It’s easier for Lexus to send the letters than actually do the replacement. False hope. I gave up on waiting for mine for my 2007 and went ahead and traded up for a 2013. So far, no problems with that issue.
Wait... that letter shows that only 3 pieces are subject to replacement. This doesn't include the door panels or dash itself? Is there another campaign for those issues?
I find it odd that only those 3 pieces would be covered and that the Lexus rep told me "over $10K in parts alone" when he said they were "replacing everything but the center console lid".

Looks like they're sending different letters based on the model year. 2013 has a redesigned upper dash, but it's possible the 3 panels mentioned in this letter are the same material as those used in earlier models, which would explain the difference in coverage.
