Default I need new pads... question

do they usually sell pads as a set like front means all the pads need for the front? Which is what 2 pads each side so 4 in all or how does it work? Or am I supposed to add 4 to the cart ? For example here

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...34552&jsn=1952

thanks guys

Congrats on taking maintenance into your own hands and being done with $100 per hour labor. It's a liberating feeling! Don't give up and post questions to the forum as needed.

I recently contacted rockauto and ordered a set of pad for both front wheels, in fact ordered two new front rotors also, with 100K miles, needed.

From talking with the sales person he said to remember to use the "Five from Fifty, Five Times" method to break in the pads correctly.

Accelerate up to 50mph, foot on brake nice and firm for Five seconds, this heats up the new pads/rotors, then do this Five times in the row.

I did this and my brakes grab right now, not glazed over from sporadic and too easy braking when new.

By the way, I paid my good local independent auto mechanic to do the rotors/pads installation, well worth it to me to know it was done right
and not important enough of a dollar savings for me to care about doing it myself. I totally get the do it yourself reasons and do everything on my
motorcycles but on my expensive Lexus I will not even do an oil change, Valvoline oil shop or good auto mechanics, no dealers needed, yet!

cant do it myself don’t have a garage or any space for that matter, good news is labour here is less than 15 an hour so why bother lol
