Default Just got my 2008 Lexus Ls, like to know your thoughts

Hi, Every LS 460 owners
I just got my second Lexus(first one 2007 es350) one month ago, this one is my dream car black 2008 Lexus LS460, it has 220,000KM, I am the 3rd owner, this car got rear spoiler, aftermarket 22 inch rims, custom lexus door light. I bought it from a used car dealer, they said everything is good(have paper said their mechanics checked everything), I tested drive it, no problem, I read some online info said that front control arm/bushings need to be change around 160,000KM, also brake actuator/water pump/alternator could be change around that milage. I forgot to ask about those issues before I bought it,
What do you LS460 owners think about my LS(220,000KM) has those things(control arm/bushings, brake actuator, water pump, alternator) replaced by previous owners?
Let me know what your think. thanks very much!
Jordan

Hello Jordan,
Congrats on your LS. It looks gorgeous. You have bought a car that was extremely well taken care of by the previous owner. I am almost certain you bought the car that Chris aka Roadfrog recently traded in for a 2017 Ford Taurus. Here's the thread discussing his LS and Taurus.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ger-srt-2.html
Chris is still a regular contributor, and he should be able to answer all your questions (if your LS was his car). Wishing you many miles and years of happy driving!

Yup, that's his judging by the V8 emblem on the trunk and I believe he did all those repairs and then some.

88,you have a very nice, very well maintained LS in your hands. Continue to take care of it and it'll take care of you

LOL. Yep...That's MY CAR! I traded it in on my SHO in October. Hilarious. Key West Ford in New Westminster.

I can tell you everything you need to know.

Yes, water pump changed, plugs, all front control arms and all shocks. All fluids changed regularly, including the coolant last year or year before.

You also have the nav bypass and remote start which I added.

Enjoy the DVD's and CD's that I forgot to remove from the changer,

Yep...small world. I couldn't believe it when I opened the thread and saw my old car staring back at me.

For the record, I did NOT change the alternator. Rear control arms and bushings are original.

Belt and rad hoses (upper and lower) were replaced.

All recalls were done

Tires were replaced two years ago

Brakes (calipers, pads, springs and all hardware) were replaced less than two years ago

Battery was replaced about 3 years ago.

Air filters and cabin filter were replaced during the Summer

You have the LED tail lights as well as the LED side view mirrors I installed

LED interior lights and back up lights as well as front turn signals

You also have the Bluetooth module I installed 3 years ago, so you can play music.

I could go on, but you get the idea

I was thinking of led tail lights but these aftermarket parts with no warranty and not in the US... if one of the leds goes you have to change the whole thing right? What leds did you go with for turn signals ?

Roadfrog
thanks very much for your info about what you have changed, I did notice the mirrors has turning lights on them which are not available in 07~09models, I am still learning everything from her. I live in Vancouver near UBC, feel free to visit me or her if you pass by. )

Hi, everyone
it doesn't cost me $8000, the price was $10000 for car alone and plus tax, fees and extra 3 years warranty on engine/tran(2500), I spent around $15000. After bought it, I felt I should not buy extra warranty for engine and transmission as they are pretty bullet proof.
