2016 LS460 fuel economy / Headlamps
Good morning everyone. I recently (Labor Day weekend) upgraded from my 2007 LS460 to a 2016 LS460. What I have found frustrating with this newer model is the poor fuel economy. My '07 was getting around 30mpg on the freeway and I was getting a solid 24mpg and typically 26mpg in the city. I got up to 34mpg on a cross country drive keeping my cruise on. This '16 is only getting around 25mpg on the freeway and a solid 19mpg in the city.
Is anyone else getting this lower fuel mileage with their '16 LS460? If you are getting as good or better in your 2016 LS460 than what I was experiencing in my '07, I would really like to know if you did anything to achieve that fuel economy?
Also, I looked at Retrofit Source and they do not carry anything for the 2016 Lexus LS460 (the drop down does not offer the option for LS460 in that year) and I cannot find replacement bulbs for the headlamps for this model year. Anyone have a source to where I can purchase replacement bulbs for the headlights on the '16 LS460?
Thanks for any info or help!

I have a 2016 LS460L and get about 25-26 mpg highway, and about 23 overall mpg. I have not taken any long trips to find out about
long highway miles.
Hope this helps.

A quick google search took me here. Is that the bulb, partway down the page? Not the Korean one, of course

If those numbers were from the car's computer then there might be a calibration issue. The car's MPG computations use the tire rotation as a distance measure and must be calibrated for the tire size.

I get 23-ish on cruise at 80mph with my 2013 AWD. Around town it's 17-ish. This is in hiils and moutains, not flat country. Your 2007 numbers do seem to be really high. My 2007 Camry V6 XLE and 2014 Avalon Limited didn't get the numbers you had with your 2007. Close, but not that good.

It seems to me that my 2013 gets slightly less mpg than my 2007 did. Both stock wheels. I swear the 2007 was bigger in the cabin and it rode smoother too. However, I like the styling of 2013 much better.

I've had my 07 about a year and have been tracking mileage with the Fuelly app. In 5,300 mi, my average is 22.1. The best was 28.3 with all interstate driving to FL at 75-85 mph.

We know the 07 was RWD, is the 16 RWD also or AWD?
For the headlights, does your 16 have HID or LED headlights?
Do the headlamp lenses look like this:
Or this:
If its the top they are HID, bottom they are LED. LED units cant be swapped.
If you cant get TRS to pull up a 2016, try 2013, 2014, 2015 all the same.

Our 08 got 28,9 mpg at nearly 90 mph from la to Vegas.
Previous owner reported 31 plus mpg to Vegas from Orange County, ca.
same motor. Different smog setup on later years?

Its just use and situation. LA to Vegas is perfect scenario for MPG.

You would think so but I leg it up the grades. No one passed me for long for 300 miles each way. Trust me.
mosr do not have the motor or the interest to go closer to 90 for long stretches..
tires can help the mpg.
high 20’s on the highway. Easily 30+ at 70 mph

Thats very odd...
Is that from the trip computer? My guess is they changed the way the trip computer calculates economy between the 07s and 08s and newer models, and that if you calculated it by hand it would be very similar.
