Did anyone else get this notice in the mail? Extended warranty until March 31, 2021 regardless of mileage and for 10 years from vehicle's date of first use, regardless of mileage. Covers doors, upper & lower dash, and console.

I got this in the mail the other day. I have a LS460L, so I don't appear to have this issue but, as soon as I saw it, I was thinking there will be a LOT of people on clublexus that will be happy that Lexus FINALLY did this.
I will double check all the panels in my car once spring comes up (warms up a little) and see if they get ANY bit sticky, as I have a "L" I don't think I am affected with this issue.
Gratz to all who got this and needed it.

So I've searched here before but don't think I ever saw a post that spells this out: what years/models are affected by the "sticky" issue? Thanks.

I thought it was interesting that a got my letter last week. Letter states until 2021 OR ten years in service. Car was delivered on 11/30/2008. Letter came 12/27/2018. Already had the drivers door request done just prior to the ten years. Installed a week ago. Called my SA and he said he needs to take pictures of my glove box door and passenger door panel and submit them for me when I am back in town next week. We will see. Fingers crossed

Got a call today from Lexus. Everything is in except the glove box. But they still asked me to setup the appointment so I picked next Tuesday at 8am. They'll provide me with a loaner and I should have a mostly new interior to my 08 LS. At this point I could have a nice bluetooth unit installed and I'd probably be happy. With only 73K miles it runs great (I'm trying to talk myself out of upgrading to the 2015 or 16). lol

YES! I received the same letter yesterday. I've been wondering what's up with my dash. I clean it with what the dealership sells, and a few days later, it looks, dusty and feels sticky in some spots. I chalked it up to the previous owner not taking care of it properly. Now I know that's not the case. Is Lexus obligated to inspect and repair at no cost the owner? I own a 2009 Lexus LS460. Sure do miss my 2000 Platinum Series LS 400 albeit 272,000 miles.

Curious about how that worked out for you. Didn't see a follow up. I recently bought an 07 and only just discovered this coverage. But being an 07 I'm guessing i missed the boat on this. The car was really cared for with only 95k miles on it when i got it. But the interior could use replacement. I covered the dash with a nice cover. Works better here in Texas. Any insite appreciated.
caveat. The drivers door panel WAS within the 10 years in service date. I asked then about the others. His comment was they seemed ok,
when I asked again after letting him charge me retail for $1,700 on two Lexus repairs and complaining about not taking care of a “car guy” me. As I was in the biz long ago.
So he said he ordered everything including the console leather arm rest.
you need to work your own deal it seems. Good luck. I gave first. Paid for several repairs out of pocket. Talk up the car(s)
may have worked. We will see.
Good luck

So I'm guessing this sticky panel situation only applies to cars delivered to the United States, or does it also affect 460's in other countries? I don't recall seeing anyone from other country having this problem on this forum.

In the US, it seems to affect cars in the hotter states (South, West) a lot more than cars up north. I've seen a few Middle Eastern 460s that looked terrible inside, but haven't seen any others I can remember outside the US.
