Front end creek noise
I recently replaced all of the front end control arms, sway bar links, bushings, left hub bearing, rotors and pads. But I still have a front end creek noise when I break when going over 40 mph. My mechanic can't figure it out. Anybady have any ideas?

Most of the front end “Creeks” versus “Squeaks” that I’ve had, in any car are a bad ball joint. They’re pressed into the steering knuckle on each side. Have you replaced those yet? The control ares have little ball joints that can get loose, but a big ball joint will creek if it gets dry.

Just reread your post, and I see you are saying over 40 MPH. A ball joint will show itself if you bounce/ push down on the front end when stationary.
I recently read a post where the large bolts (150 lbs of torque) for the engine sub frame loosened up on someone and caused a noise. Just required retorque.

I have a low speed "creak" noise but when I push down / bounce the car when stationary I don't hear the noise. My independent has just replaced control arms but not sure what the quality of the parts were from eBay.

I had a creak noise that drove me crazy for a while. Took tech and an assistant hours and finally they found the issue: a collection of gravel and stones that were trapped between the steering rack and the cross member.

Mine was at lower speeds, but believe it or not, it was the hood latch. Put a dab of grease on the loop on the hood that catches the latch. Mine made a creeping noise but stopped with the grease.
