I have a 2008 LS460 with over 165,000 miles and am very picky about keeping everything working and I can honestly say this car has been extremely inexpensive since I got it. My oil change at the Lexus dealer is cheaper than my Tahoe! The only major repair was a water pump which was still half that of what my prior BMW’s water pump cost. I highly recommend these cars and have been told they will easily go over 500,000 miles without any major problems.

The trip computer in every LS I've owned has been optimistic by around 2 mpg... My SC430 trip computer is dead on, though... I get an indicated 22 mpg on my LS600hL around town, but it always works out to around 20 mpg when I fill the tank. I'm happy with that efficiency for such an opulent car!

OP comment that the 2009's and earlier are cheaper...a whole lotta features debuted in 2010:
a) Revised exterior appearance including outside mirrors with turn signals
b) Many electronic feature additions including Bluetooth for music devices (phone only prior years),
USB jack and XM Satellite tuner. One "enhancement" does not count as a benefit - the XM Traffic/
Weather/Stocks/Sports is completely lame.
c) Safety Connect system. Lexus recently lowered the cost of S.C. from $149/year to $80/year.
Telematic system with 3/4 watt phone similar to OnStar.
d) Driver's auto slide-away seat and Active front headrests.

By far the largest cost associated with owning a luxury car like the LS460 is depreciation, not maintenance. My LS600hL had an original sticker price north of $126k back in 2010 when it was sold. I bought it for $27,500 with 66k miles on it in 2018. I plan to keep it for 6 years, and I doubt very much it will have much trade-in value when I'm done with it (lets say maybe $5000). So my car cost the original owner roughly $100,000 in depreciation in 8 years, and will cost me perhaps $22,500 in depreciation over 6 years. Not bad at all, but WAY more than I will spend on repairs in all likelihood. I actually decided to purchase a full national "bumper to bumper" warranty on my 2010 from CNA (a well-reviewed company). I paid $2800 for the 6 year warranty, and it covers pretty much every expensive thing likely to fail on my car (control arms, air ride suspension, brake actuator, M/L amp, even the hybrid batteries).

My 2010 LS600hL had 66k miles when I bought it last year, and I was able to get a 6 year, 48k additional mile warranty for $2800. I only drive around 8k miles per year, so this one was perfect for me. I do have a $200 deductible, which I'm fine with. CNA is also one of the very few companies that will cover Hybrid batteries (which do fail on the LS600s eventually).

Let me see if I can remember everything Ive done/had done to my car since I picked it up. Its a 2007 purchased in 2009 with 138k miles at the moment. As you can see, Im a DIY type of person.
Below isnt in order. Will type as I remember.
Serpentine belt (started making noise, so I changed it) Did it myself $30
Radiator ( broke the nipple to the reservoir while changing belt) Did it myself ($150)
Radiator ( above mentioned started leaking from top about 3 years later) ($150)
Alternator (Check generator light) Did it myself $240
All front control arms (common issue, bushings worn) Did it myself $850
Starter (stopped working) Did it myself $220
Fuel pump gaskets (oil leak from valve cover) $78 for kit. Did it myself
Too many oil changes to count at about 75 each. Do them myself.
