Test Drove a 2010 LS
Last night i found in Northern California a 2010 LS with 68,000 miles
It was advertised to be in new condition and taken care of.
Listing price was $18,000
i decided to go and see it.
the brakes were original so i was thinking all new pads and rotors $1000
the suspension at 68,000 was all original. car rode well but had some movement left to right over road imperfections.
mark levinson package was good but not great.
Older nav screen not crazy about
seats were good and felt comfy but not up to par with newer seats in the newer generation cars.
I passed on the deal and offered wholesale at 12,500
as of now no response.
Anyone has thoughts on what would be a fair number for a 2010 with levinson and comfort package, in good condition?
thanks

Your wholesale number is wrong. It doesn't allow for the add for low miles. You didn't say if the car is AWD or RWD but here's the MMR on both:
RWD: $15,750 assuming a CR of 3.5 adjusted for mileage and region. There is a $3,130 add for the low miles. Expected retail is $20,500
AWD: $14,400 assuming a CR of 3.8 adjusted for mileage and region. There is a $4,280 add for the low miles. Expected retail is $17,800
I chose a CR on both cars that didn't add or subtract from the MMR. Any deviation one way or the other can have a significant effect on pricing.

TriC: You'd certainly think that and I had to look at it twice as well but that's what they are. I think the sample size may be throwing it off as there are more AWD cars and that tends to drive values down.
Mike: MMR is Manheim Market Report which is the average of sales prices through Manheim across the USA. CR is Condition Report which is a 1-5 value assigned upon auction inspection to the condition of the vehicle. MMR is adjusted based on mileage, CR, region, and color.

Those are crack head prices. You will continued to be ignored.
$16k might get your foot in the door. . I bet you told them you'd pay all cash right? When I post my vehicles for sale it always cracks me up when people make a low ball offer price and say "all cash" and expect me to jump on it.

Again, much less if you can do the work yourself.
If you can't do those things, and if your starting number for negotiations is any indication of your financial situation, I'd say "stay away from the LS". It'll suck you dry if you simply pulled numbers from the dealer and plan to take it there for those services.
