Is the actuator covered under the Lexus Enhancement Warranty program, 10 years?

Many thanks. Don't recall ever receiving a letter regarding the warranty extension.

Same. Just found out that since mine is a 2008, it's now out of the 10 year secondary warranty extension. "Nice".

One of the reasons why I decided to end the relationship with my 2008. It was such a great car! I think I got out before the value starts to plummet again during my ownership.

No issues with my 2008 other than the control arms which have been fixed, but I'm just ready to try something new. Waiting on Lexus to hurry up and replace the dash/door panels and I will be listing the car for sale. Of course Lexus is taking their sweet *** time, but at least they've agreed to do it.

Don't know if you got the dash and door panels replaced but we finally did. After only 6 years. Waiting for door panels for 4. I called and called the service manager and even Lexus, and got the same answer that they have several people waiting. Just on a whim I called the parts manager and told him I wanted to purchase the door panels. He checked around and found them at another dealer and said he could have them the next day. Then he checked his compute and saw that I was due to have them replaced for free. He ordered them and within a couple hours the service manager called and we scheduled an appointment to have them replaced two days later. Try calling the parts department and attempt to purchase them; worked for me.

BRILLIANT!!!!

And just shows there’s a little shadiness going on with the wait times on replacements.

if you want to “buy” them they are available. Want them to be replaced, “get in line.”

Very shady.

And they do not allow bringing your own brand new oem parts.
This works for me at Acura. Go to the part counter at the dealer, order the required parts, bring it to the service advisor to give it to the tech.

I wonder if anyone else has had the problem with their actuator .Mine according to the dealer needs to be replaced. When I start the car three warning lights come on. After I drive for 15 - 20 minutes, restart it the lights no longer come on and don't for the rest of the day. For some reason when the engine is warmed up the actuator problem does not exist. I am reluctant to replace the $1200 part before I find out why this happens. Anyone have an opinion. Thanks

well, unfortunately I can’t say great. Less than 20k miles later during cold weather I began hearing the infamous squawk, I thought maybe it’s the booster but not much more than that. The car was around 120k miles, I was also being told I would need to look at replacing the motor mounts and I could feel that they needed replacing, as well the starter seemed to be sometimes struggling.
Ultimately I decided I did not want to put more money into the car and traded it on a 2009 Lexus GX470 and could not be happier. Side note my wife has had an 06 GX470 the entire time I drove the ls and i always felt like the GX was just better from fit and finish to reliability.
