You might still be covered if you buy a 2010 or '11, but yes, if it's under 150k miles then it depends on the date the car was considered in service. I have an '11, and my in-service date is 12/15/10, so I'm covered until 12/15/20. I only have 66k miles on the car.

For what it's worth, I waited years for Lexus to replace the dash and door panels. They did the dash rather quickly but it took years and I got the same old run around when I called my local dealer. Then I called the parts manager and told him I was looking to purchase the door panels and he found them at another dealer, had them transferred to him and got them installed in two days. Service dept said they could not get them. Might try calling the parts department and attempt to purchase them. If they find them they will still install at not cost

For those of us who have had the actuator replaced under ZLG program, I wonder how long Lexus warranties the new actuator..? I didn't check my paperwork - mine was just replaced about 2 months ago and saved me about $3,300 thanks to the ZLG coverage (FWIW, I have a July 2010 production and mine went bad at 101k miles). I'll be at the dealer later this week getting my final piece of my interior replaced (center console) and will try to remember to ask.

I hear the noise every now and then on my 2007 LS460.. it’s a second vehicle so I’d replace it myself if it failed. The price we pay for luxury 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you check the service history on the https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/ site to see if it was replaced? Maybe you'll luck out.

How does your brake fluid look? For now just do a few brake flushes from the fluid reservoir and use only fresh brake fluid from a sealed bottle. Also change the brake fluid reservoir cap. The original cap may not be sealing tightly. Doing this stopped the squawking noise I had when hitting the brakes hard.

It was replaced actually! At 55,0000 miles.

the sound comes and goes.

The brake fluid looks pretty good and the Lexus dealer flushed it not too long ago with the previous owner. I’m going to look up the procedure now... the only way I know how to flush brake fluid is through the bleeding process.

I’m going to order a new cap now!

Changing the cap definitely made the noise go away?

It's only $1,250 +tax for the brakes accuator and I'm referring to the updated model that's suppose to fix the internal pressure leaks.
This dealership charged you $700 tax on top of the retail price. We all know steelership's get away with allot but this is robbery 😡

I purchased mine from park place Lexus grapevine for $1480 whole sale and have it done at my work for $600 labor and it’s been driving great since I have it fixed, snap on scanner was used to bleed and install the unit and so far all the dash lights are out and brakes are functioning properly as it should with no ticking noise or grabby brakes. If any one here in coppell Texas and wanted done. Pm me and will have it done at my shop.
thanks

I think you meant to type labor, not tax (unless I'm missing something).
