Yes, Its in the tank. I would leave it alone. Lexus i think does not see this as a maintenance item.

Well in the US manual there is no mention . But in the international manual its mentioned.
That when your milage is 150,000 and above. I replaced mine , the Assembly is replaced.
Part # 77024-50020 . My LS is at 220,000.
