Does anyone know of an alternate link to obtain a v12.30? I was sent v13.00 and it crashes like Kuhan indicated when accessing the ECT menus. I tried downloading the link from Kuhan above (thanks btw for that), but the uzip errors out around 94% when I try to unpack them.

So Here's a question for the team, where can you find out the features you gain/lose by going forward/backward in versions? Is it summarized anywhere? My 2007 LS460 L seems to not like v13.00, but I wonder if my wife's RX 450h will need the newer version to take advantage of some of the new features

No problem!

Did you buy a 1.4.1 or a 2.0.4 cable?

Thanks Kuhan, but I found a link that RoadDog had posted for v12.30 and the guy I bought my cable from sent to me as well, so I'm good. Thanks for the help

Trying to get myself spun up on the Techstream cables.

Windows 10 64-bit on a HP Spectre, so I should be fine, yes?
Which cable version should I buy?
Which Techstream do I need?

It'll be for my 2011 ISF. I've got things I'd love to change on this car and not rely on shops. Highly appreciate the reply.

Get cable with firmware version 2.0.4.
Techstream version 12.30 works with Windows 10 64 bit.

I found the VXDIAG VCX NANO for TOYOTA from http://www.vxdiagshop.com/wholesale/...i-version.html to work very well. Reads codes and performs Active Tests on my 2008 LS600h.
It also supports generic ODBC2, so I could use it on other cars too.
I got the wireless one which also came with a USB cable giving a choice of connectivity.
Mine came with a copy of TechStream v14.xxx
They have continuous firmware updates for their products. (There was an update between them packing it and me receiving it. It took all of one minute to update with the included software)
I installed the drivers and TechStream on Windows 10 64-bit with no mucking about.
Connecting is very quick and it hasn't missed a beat.
I found I had to tell TechStream I'm in Japan to get all the info about my car - but then, it is a Japanese import ;-)

I have a cable with 1.4.x on it, I have had it a long time now. It allows me to look over things, get checks but, as soon as I do anything major, it always has communication error when doing ECU data update/configuration. (Trying to reset the transmission data, it fails and same with other things) with never versions. Not sure what version I should use.

Will a cable with firmware 2.0.4 help with these issues ? Or am I stuck buying a $80+ cable for this ? Can a 2.0.4.version be found for $20-25 ? as ebay people are asking $90+...

Just wondering if a newer firmware will help so I can fully use Techstream....

Does anyone know for sure what will work ?

A cable with 2.0 should help with more things. It's funny because I used a cable with 1.4 to program keys for my 430 but I could not program Tom's in the 460 with the same cable.

I tried to use Techstream today to register new TPMS but stumbled with an error (ID Registration failed due to a communication error with the ECU while in Initialization mode.). Tried a few times and gave up. Luckily, I have Carista app. Got the new TPMS registered easily. Well worth $40/ year fee.
