Default Sticky door panel guys, a sticky dash to follow?

I'm looking at a car right now that had all 4 door panels replaced recently. Any of you guys that experienced the sticky door panels not have the dash get sticky or is that pretty much inevitable and right behind? This car did not have the dash or center console replaced from its records. I'm also looking at another car that had all of the panels and the dash replaced recently. They are all florida cars. How are the new panels holding up after replacement? The 2012 is basically new inside now except for the seats.

Lexus IS now offering free replacement on many vehicles that were previously not going to be honored. I would contact customer service with the VIN # and check prior to buying. That way if the car does have the issue down the road it can be replaced. I have a 2011 460L have had the door panels and dash replaced. When I originally brought it in it was only the 4 panels. They insisted on replacing the whole dashboard as well even thought it wasn't really sticky just when you ran your hand over it you could tell it felt funny like something was wrong with the material.

You need to check on whether you can go back once you've had the new install. I was told it was a one shot deal. But dealers may vary.

our dash was replaced, and the door panels were ordered. however, when they canceled the "old" program, the door panels never arrived and we had to apply again under the new program. The glove box, center console, and panel below the steering column were all added as well.since they are sticky and discolored. The dealer has handled almost everything at this point. We will see what happens. I do not expect them to arrive anytime soon. I would get on the list though, because if they stop the program again, you will atleast be on the list.

I emailed Friday and got my reply today. They said I was covered and I'm the 3rd owner. I stopped by my dealer and they took pics and said I was all covered. I only have bad door skins at this time. I asked the guy how they determine what gets fixed.....he said they would usually just ordered it all. Dash and doors were almost always in stock but the console and bottom pieces of dash were many months out!!

Where in Alabama did you take your Lexus to? I live in Alabama and only know of three Lexus dealerships, in Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville.

The dealer replaced my door panels, glove box, lower front panel and dash. The dash was in great shape before but Lexus replaced everything as a package. Be prepared for a long wait. 9 months here. But my dealer did a great job and the replaced materials are holding up great in this late scorcher here in HOU. Good luck!

I've had every interior item replaced under the extended warranty except the dash in my '11 LS. It appears fine so far. Dealer says warranty good for 10 years so I'm covered to '21.

2012 LS. Four door panels, glove box assembly, lower and upper dash all replaced. Only waiting for center box. Did a great job. Everything will be new but the seats. The only part that wasn’t too bad was the upper dash, they replaced it anyway. Took eight months. You will be pleased.
