]I have a question though about possibly buying a replacement for my front right air suspension [ Part#48010-50260] for my 2010 AWD lS 460
My front air shock on my 2010 ls 460 AWD strut mounting is starting to make that bumping metal plate bumping noise everytime a little bump is encountered. Im familiar with that sound since my 2002 Toyota Sienna makes the same front risound and was fixed The Airshock and dampers are ok..its just the upper strut mount. This part number is 48010-50260
They sell a refurbished front right air suspension for a LS600H AWD that costs around $303... The 48010-50262 is around $800....however the part number is 480-50203. According to the listing 480-50203 is compatible with 48010-50262 which is the updated version of 48010-50260//
Hence 48010-50203 is compatible with 48010-50260 as stated below..
Can I purchase the cheaper refurbished 48010-50203 front right airshock for an AWD ls600H instead of the more expensive 48010-50260/2...I cant imagine why they would use a completely different part for the front right air suspension for the LS460 from a LS600L, especially when the only difference is in higher weight mostly centered in the rear due to the battery and longer wheelbase.
Can I just buy this part.. It looks identical...Need to talk to KYB rep.
what do you think?

Hey, Did you purchase the cheaper strut and did it work. If so, where did you purchase it from. I have a 2009 LS 460 AWD air suspension and need both front struts. Thanks for your help.

Do you need the struts ( air suspension ) or the strut mounts ? If the air bag is bad it should be leaking or it will be too bouncy. While the strut mounts which sit on the top of the air suspension they go bad if the there is sound when bumping. Front strut mount part number is
48553-50130

Thanks ALK---Actually I am not totally sure. I am getting a lot of bounce and each time I hit a bump--even riding over pavers---I get that thump/rattle on the front driver side. I thought it would be the struts but I have not seen much leaking. I also suspected the CV axle because the boot did tear. However, I have not heard the typical popping sound you get with a bad CV axle so I ruled that out. I was not aware the strut mounts could create the sound/problem. I certainly have the thumping sound anytime I go over a bump. The mounts cost $30 and the struts cost $1200 new. I have 183K on the car and would replace mounts and struts if I can find should struts for something way south of the $1200. All help and ideas are appreciated.
