Got Keyed

If they had kept it clean the paint would have been amazing! You can't tell it was repainted--they matched and blended so perfectly. But the dirt in the paint and the fact they obviously struggled to get the doors apart and back together is heartbreaking. I don't want to name names since this is still an unresolved situation--but I'm curious to see what my insurance agent will say, since they recommended this outfit.

just had the bumpers resprayed on mine, and it was comical
took an extra week but now its flawless
Im not surprised they messed up the door trim , like I was saying in another thread its low quality workmanship everywhere you go

Talked to the insurance agency and the body shop today. Insurance company says to give them another chance to make it right. After that if I'm not satisfied they will reopen the claim and go from there.

Who is your insurance carrier? They sound like quality.

lol , I had mine dropped off at the dealer to get an estimate to have my front bumper resprayed (tons of rock chips)
When I went to pick it up they dinged my quarter panel and denied it …. that was just the start of a long comical journey which lasted weeks.

Okay, I think this whole sad story is finally behind me. Took my car in to the body shop today to have some issues resolved and it looks like they took care of everything. Paint looks like it never happened, and the doors now appear to be put back together correctly. I did have to do some detailing, especially to the trunk. I guess it's true what they say--body shops are some of the dirtiest places on the planet. I had to get into all the little nooks and crannies to get paint dust out of there. Anyway, the car looks perfect and I'm glad the ordeal is over.

Detailers came today and only charged me $75; said the car was so clean they only needed an hour to do everything. They're recommending some expensive paint protective layers for later when the new paint is dry. I'll start a new thread on that.

Yes, exactly. I paid my deductible and picked a body shop. My mistake was not also getting a quote from the local Lexus dealer who has their own body shop.
