The 19” 5 spoke Touring wheels look to SUVish. Although I admit the look better than base 18s.

The forged BBS 19” SZ/Sport/FSport wheels are best IMO but some may not like the timeless mesh look. The 13-17 added a darker shade with the machine finish to hide the dust from the big Brembos. Too bad they maintained only 8” wide. With Pirelli Winter 210s mine come in at 58lbs. Any idea what other OEM 19 set ups weigh ?

And a damn shame the staggered LS500 wheels are not BBS Japan forged. They are not made in Japan...

No sanding involved, unless I need to blend existing miniature rash marks. Even then, it'll be 400 grit, max.

Liquid paint stripper, then polishing compounds and probably a couple of hours, per wheel.

I’ll continue looking for a bit but I have not been able to find the forged 19”s that I like at all, let alone for a reasonable price.

The 5 spoke 19’s are growing on me tbh they don’t look 1/2 bad I found a set of 4 for 340 USD. I can get another one for the spare for 100-120 USD. I think that’s not too bad, I can get the whole set of 5 properly powder coated for between 100-200. What you guys think? I have mercury silver, 1F2. Some form of gunmetal?

They are hard to find and not usually cheap. I’ve seen many on Japan used auctions and classifieds.

With mercury metallic and a gunmetal similar to F and FSport OEM wheel colors your headed in the right direction.

Funny enough I was awake in the middle of the night and after reading this thread I went to eBay and a seller had 4 chromed OEM 19’s for s sale. Buy it now stuff. Done.

i have nice chromed 18’s 9 spoke with new Michelin’s on the car now so I may put away the 19’s until these are worn out in a few years and replace the TPMS senders at the same time as the senders are now 10 years old.

Is a 19” spare necessary?

For those who wonder they were $225 per wheel shipped from Texas to Ca.

i hope it firms up the handling a bit.

I picked up a set of the chrome 19" 5 spokes yesterday. I am planning to install them this weekend. Does anyone know if it is possible to take the TPMS sensors off the stock wheels and put them on the 19's? Or do I need to purchase new ones?

Don't wait, put on the 19s immediately! Definitely improves the handling. Less body lean. A firmer ride. It'll make you realize how worn your struts may be
I replaced all of my struts at 95K. The old were ok but just felt a step slower reacting to bumps compared to the new KYB gas a just struts. The 19s will truly update the look!!

Any tire shop can do a sensor swap for you.

I disagree, going from 235/50/18 to 245/45/19 made my car feel more panted around corners. Made my car feel less like a Lincoln Town car

wider, you will achieve the same if you went 245/250 in R18

Let not forget we are discussing 18x7.5 vs 19x8. So regardless of what was said above there should be a small degree of improvement.

Emphasis on small.

I want a 19" five spoke so it matches the other four.

Five-tire rotation, FTW.

I'd wager, with a one-inch wheel diameter change, but no overall wheel/tire diameter change, there's more difference in a specific tire make/model design and construction.

edit for a typo
