You are saying you run your LS at 170 knot per hour? That is a 196 mph? I would be more concerned with the speed rating. I blew the right rear tire on a 1968 Ford station wagon back on 20 Sep 1968 doing a 105 mph and it will get your attention.

According to many at the Mercedes Benz Forum, the newer run flat tires that come as OEM on the flagship S550 are vastly improved. Some have posted that the ride is similar to a regular tire. But, the S550 has air suspension.

where did I say knots? 170kmph kilometres per hours .... but 105mph is close enough to 170kmph and I think having run flats in that situation would probably save me and keep the vehicle from losing control compared to a normal tire in a similar situation

My mistake I read that as knots per hour not kilometers per hour. I thought doing a 170 knots was exceeding the LS's limits but then I have driven in Europe so I know that they do get it on going down the Autobahn.

I feel like the chances of this happening are statistically low however, especially for a new tire made in 2018/2019.
