Default LS460L Stock or Not ??

I've done ALOT more reading than posting over the last couple of years. In fact, the car has only been driven around 6,000 miles in the last 3 years since I purchased it from a fellow member here. The reason for the post today is more of a question from people who have, had, & love the LS460 & LS460L. Thanks to a great opportunity, I'm looking at getting a newer model. Should I sell this one as is or put the factory wheels & tires back on to trade it in. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

As it sits now: 22" rims. Front & rear lower spoilers, Roof spoiler. DVD by pass.

I would put the stock wheels back on. Big flashy aftermarket wheels are one of the biggest red flags to many buyers that someone younger owns the car, could abuse it, could have switched many hands, has a issue, etc. You would probably make more money by selling the wheels separately anyway, aftermarket wheels don't really add any value to a car unless they are really special, rare, and in demand. Stock wheels will ride smoother over large wheels with low profile tires and that is what the typical buyers of these cars want over everything, smooth ride. The rest should be fine to leave on the car.

UDel nailed it, 100% put the car back to stock (ill buy that lip kit if you need a buyer )

the market for these cars are the "mature" crowd and 22 inch wheels will scare them right off , as well as ruin the smooth ride most are looking for

you will get nothing for the wheels if you include them in the sale , they do look pretty good though for a set of replicas ( imitation 3 piece)

Sell them separately and go back to the stock wheels and its a win win

Yes, definitely put the stock wheels back on and sell the aftermarket rims separately.

I definitely bypassed a couple of cars because of aftermarket rims when I was looking for my car.

hi tony, first off beautiful car in a unique color combo really special

you should get good money for it, try to sell it privately there is not a lot of inventory in that shape and quality

putting stock if trading it in,

or letting the buyer privately choose both or one of the wheel options would probably yield you best result privately

personally i would mount the stock rims on and sell it privately with the other rims as option if they like that set up or sell them individually car, and rims after sale

good luck

Not sure about CA but I generally trade my cars as the tax savings almost evens it out after the time and effort selling privately. I agree trade with stock wheels and sell those separately.

Agree with all above. I would pass on any LS that had the slightest mod.

Definitely replace the OEM wheels and sell the aftermarket wheels separately. You'll get a good portion of your investment back that way and should sell quickly.

I could be called the mature crowd, being 54, and I say put the stocks on. Unless someone loves the wheels as much as you do they won't pay extra for them. Odds are any tuner will want to put their own spin on the look.

I think you would be okay with leaving the subtle front and rear lips and rear window spoiler on, they do look good unless you can get a little extra money for them selling them separate, DVD pass would be a little plus in my opinion on selling the car to list, it is just the wheels that really should go back to stock. Good luck on selling, your LS looks very nice.

Thanks, but I've already started the process. Taillights, interior lights, wheels, and rear bumper are returned stock. Front bumper cover & DVD bypass are next. I may offer the bypass with the sale of the car & let them decide to reconnect it.
